Psychosubsystems At Play

When testimony is compelled, there’s a different quality to it. Some people pick up on this faster than others, which is why there are a lot of “professional street team” members whose posts get ignored because their enthusiasm no longer sounds like a testimony. It sounds like a compulsion.

This is also part of why genuine testimony spreads like wildfire. There’s an innate psychosubsystem in our brain that’s wired to tell the difference between pay-for-hire testimony and genuine. (Not always prescient, but hopefully at least in hindsight.)
